The Sun Is Everything

Thursday February 27th
Here we are on day 3 a full day.

We haven't done much to write about.  Clela has been sick with a cold and sleeps a lot.  The weather is much better than the last two years.  I mean we have had rain, it was what I call Hawaiian rain because it is s very fine missed and only rains for five minutes.

We even got a beautiful rain bow but as I looked closer I see a double. How about that.

I had french toast, coffee and sugar water.  Okay it was Passion Orange Nectar.  Clela slept most of the morning.  We decided to have soup for lunch.  The kind you add water with the ingredients.  We put it in the microwave .  The microwave didn't work.  So Clela called the repair man for the condo.  He came a short time latter.  He tried everything as I did before he got here.  You know pull the plug, and plug it back in.  He, as I did, tried the breaker box. Nope, nope the sucker was out, gone, kaput.  Well I think I have one at my shop that might work.  Yes he did

Here is the old one and maybe an older one as a replacement.

That took some time to put in.  It's hard to put the screw holes in.  When you put a new one it comes with a paper layout that you put in the top cabinet and drill down.  He did have a helper.  We talked a little bit when he was finish.  He had remodeled this condo for a former owner and again for the  current owner.  That was our thursday.

Friday February 28th  Clela is feeling better.  We were out on the lani after breakfast .  There was no one in the pool when two older women came walking over to the smaller pool.  You say so what and I say its not that they were old, it was that they were carrying snorkel gear.  I mean the older of the two could hardly walk, but to snorkel?  Maybe this 3 to 4 foot deep was a good place to try it out.

Well it took them a good half hour looking at their gear but opening it up.

The younger fo the two got it the water first, she was ready.  The older of the two is looking at the googles, like how does this work.  Well they finally got in to the water, sort of.  She still doesn't have the goggles on.

For some reason I didn't have anymore pictures.  With there goggles and snorkel, she was ready.  The younger women pulled the older one around while she floated for some time.  Finally released her.  She hugged the side of the pool and off she went.  You could tell the younger women could snorkel diving down and swimming around.  But wait, the wall grabber got out of the pool and went over I though to sit down.  But wait, she now has as some flippers.  Into the water she goes like a pro and with the aid of the side of the pool she puts on the flippers, on goes the goggles and under she goes.  Well not under but swimming holding it wall and off she goes.

We went in for lunch.

After lunch and rest we went down to the ocean.  We, yes Clela is feeling better, down to the ocean we went.  The wind wind was blowing so hard it could knock over a little kid.  With over heads down and holding on to each other off we went to set under our favorite tree and lounge chairs.  Nothing like that spot.  We were sheltered from the wind.  good spot.  After sitting there for some time a nice a man came along taking some pictures.  We took up an conversation with him.  Last year when there was a Tsunami in this area.  He said you could walk out quit a ways.  The water rolled out and then in.  It was not a huge Tsunami and didn't have any damage.  He said he was on the eight floor.  He was not worried.  He said you could not leave your floor.  The elevators were out.  You couldn't even go floor to floor.  Very interesting.
We walked back to our condo with live music playing at the beach club.  The place was full and drinks were flowing.  Someday we're going to try that.

For supper or as some call it dinner, ordered a pizza on line and went over and picked it up.

As you can see not much left.
Well that was our two last days.  Cant remember it all.  Hope you enjoy it.  Just remember when you're 75-80 you to can snorkel.  I can hear Clela saying, Gene, you can snorkel but only in the baby pool. See ya
