Look at this picture.
The sun is shining, a slight wind is blowing and it's cold. I"m sorry, I know the type of weather your having back home. Your saying tomorrow is the first of March and there is no sign of spring. We are having trouble staying warm.
It's 8:30 and there is no one in the pool. If you zoom in on the last picture you see a dad pushing a stroller. One thing you'll see early in the day is fathers with young kids.
We got up late today so by this time we were able to eat on the balcony. If at all possible we try to eat outside. Now if your eating warm food it all gets cold quick. We didn't have much to eat so we improvised a little. We went down stairs to get a bagel only to find out bagels were all sold out, thus Clela got a cinnamon danish and I got a blueberry danish.
That was our breakfast.
After breakfast we put our coats on and headed down to search for whale. Once again in the protection of the resort it was okay, cold but okay. When you turn the corner the wind hits us with a gush, strong and cold. Alright we were prepared and found two lounge chairs and sat down. There was a few rowers in outriggers. The waves at times were over the top in height hiding the boat. We sat there for about an hour. While there, some people stop to talk. Lots of people stop when they see my Wisconsin hat. A man and his wife went to Madison and are living in Dubuque. No matter where you live you're always a Badger fan. Saw another couple from Wisconsin who taught at Nicolet High School.
Not seeing any whales we went inside and sat in the center of the resort.
So there we are sitting in the sun with our coats on, Clela with her hood up sitting right out there. We didn't care what people thought WE WERE WARM. When we got up this is what we saw.
No won in the center area.
Two kids in the pool. That was all. Everyone went inside.
Couple people around the pool and some in the hot tub. The temperature tonight will be 61, I know it's not 8 like your having. We are use to warmer temps, so 61 is cold.
We decided we wanted to go to Lahaina for lunch. We needed a fish taco and what better place to eat than at the Fish Market.
There are large benches in the middle and small tables on the perimeter. We could have eaten outside, ah no. They have changed the fish taco, but it still was good. Can you believe it, we gave our table to a Michigan State Spartan.
After lunch we went in a few stores, ones with art and crafts.
We love this store.
I have been looking for a small dish.
I always look for new projects.
What can I say, a little pipe bending, some wood and you have a chair.
After going to Safeway for some food (we forgot milk) we went back to our condo and took a short nap. Hey we're old.
Clela made dinner and once again she out did herself.
Pork chops, potato's, applesauce, that green stuff, okay cheesy spinach. That was our day. See you soon.
