Monsoon Season

I got up at 6:30 my usual time and walked over to open the patio door. I do this every morning.  Sometimes I take a photo or a video. I opened the door and it was pouring outside.

I think last night I said I wanted to checkout the ocean for brown water. I guess I will have to wait and take a walk after the rain stops.  I also went out the front to see the rain.

There was a dip in the road and as cars drove through there was quite a spray.  Later I found out there is on dip but was an overload of the sewer drain. On one side of the road there is a six foot opening to the sewer drain.
Of course because of the rain and it's cool we will eat in doors this morning.

A little different right, you've got to remember we are going home soon. Still it was different but a good change of pace.  We got dressed and as we did a couple days ago we went down to see how intense the storm was and how much silt.

The silt was so heavy it didn't go out very far and stayed there. as we walked along we got a pleasant surprise.  Finally, after all the four plus weeks that we been here, the resort brought out more lounge chairs.

Our two chairs returned. This is  where we sit under the tree or sometimes right here. This is way too late for us.  Maybe we should stay another week, no can't do that.
On our way back, we stopped at the small pool.  If you look in the background, the sky is over cast. Here look at the sky now just a short time later.

Up to the condo we went for lunch. Eating out on the lanai, you would have never  guessed what the day started like.

Salami on ryebread.  The sandwich was so large we cut it in half.  Later in the day. around four, here comes another  warning, not the screeching type.

Well why not just add to all the warnings.  I did try to get some video, but that really didn't work.  I'll try tomorrow.  You need lots of light.  Now I can take a video and make photos from it.
By supper time the sky was overcast so I thought no sunset tonight.  Well if there is just a little break in the clouds there is a chance.

I took so many photos it was hard to choose.

Clela kept saying Gene get in here.  We sat down to eat. A Clela made her magic once again.

Ranch salad with Tortellini.  Well was our day from Monsoon like rain to a beautiful sunset.  See ya.

To Catch The Perfect Wave

The morning started out with very few clouds in the sky.

As
the sun came over the mountains it turned the water and clouds  a beautiful pink.

From our view you could see large waves breaking over the wall out front. I knew this was going to be my chance to photograph waves.

Zooming in over top of the restaurant was okay but still there had to be a better photo.

We ate breakfast out on the lanai.  There was little wind and the air was warm.

We're not eating less, just trying to eat up what we have.  Notice the little puck on my plate.  That is what you call Egg Bites.  This one has bacon and pepper jack cheese in it. Just pop it in the microwave  Clela likes them. I well, well NAH, but I still ate it.

Didn't do much in the morning since we decide to go and eat at Leilani on the Beach. But before leaving I surprised  Clela and said lets go to a new restaurant Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar and Store.

Yup that's me with my Tommy Bahama shirt on.  I bought that shirt to go to Sarah's Wedding.

We are in the remodeled Hard Rock Cafe.  For lunch, there was a short menu.  We ordered drinks.  Clela had a beer to go along with Tacos and I had lemonade with my Hamburger Sliders.

The meal was good.  Clela said lets have a Keylime pie. Hey where did she see that? The pie was great.  After we finished eating, we went into the store.

We did buy a few things, no clothes. Upon leaving we took a shot walk across the street to set on a bench.  We like this bench because all our family sat here when we all came here on our trip.

Katie found a photo of her sitting on the bench.

Well things have changed, the shoes are still there but there is no box of Chocolates or suitcase and the sign is gone.  Good memories.

We went back to the resort, took a rest (sleep) and went down to the ocean to catch that perfect wave.  I want to take a photo of the top of the wave when it's curling over.  I have been looking and taking wave photos for years never to find that photo. I found out if I took video I can edit to take a photo from it.  I've taken tons of video and here is what I have.

This photo was enhanced

Well I have a long way to go, but I am getting better.  These waves are 6 to 8 feet high.
Now we have two lounge chairs so it's time to rest.

As we were sitting here about 5 little girls and one little boy all all 2-4 years old came along with their parents. All wore cute little dresses. It looked like a day care.  All the little girls came to look for a buried treasure.  They all dug with the parents taking photos.  The treasure was deep.  When they found it It was wrapped in a bag.  In the bag there was a box and in the box little trinkets and candy.  They were all squealing with joy.  I would loved to have taken photos of it but the way things are now I didn't.  We really enjoyed the show.  It reminds me of all the hunts our kids went on.

On our way back I took this photo.  I think the photo looks fake but it's not.

Order online and drive across the street.
Just a sunset to go.

Great day, see ya.
