Clela's Bench Came Back!

Monday March 9th 2020

Clela and I get up about the same time most mornings, with Clela getting up first.  It always before the sun comes over the mountains.  I always come walking out with phone in hand, you know my third hand.  The first thing I do, is to go out on the lani to check out the day.  Take this morning, when it was clear but not for long.

Beautiful day 15 minutes ago.  We can always see the rain coming just like a sheets.  Today we had sun all day.  It was a crazy wind.  When we leave our condo and walk down to the elevator there is a wind tunnel there.  You grab your hat because it is blowing like crazy.  Today the wind was coming out of the north and it was cold!!  The temperature was 82 and you fell like you're freezing.  If you get down by the pools it is hot.  Go figure.

We ate breakfast on the Lani.  It's clear now,  This is my granola and yogurt day.  Most mornings at home I would be eating cereal.

After breakfast we did a little house work and then went ate lunch.  After our rest we went on to Safeway for a couple items. This morning I read people are going crazy hoarding items that don't have anything  to do the our pandemic.  They said people hording toilet paper.  I didn't believe it until I saw it.

This shelf is about 20 foot long with three shelves high.  I guess that really right.
Afterwards we got some more coffee, Peaberry.  You know a peaberry coffee bean is red before it is ripe.  They pick these coffee beans by hand.

Later we went down to sit by the ocean.  Clela put her jacket on because the wind outside our condo was cold.  Sure enough it was hot when we got down.  As we were walking to the beach there are several benches we sit on along the way to rest as we go.  One of benches came back and she was excited.

Now that is a happy women.  They cleaned it up and re-applied the stain.  Oh she did take her jacket.  We sat under our favorite tree.  Clela read her book and I looked for sings of whales.  The ocean was choppy so I didn't see any.  That didn't matter because there is a sense of peace when your setting there. The sounds of the waves hitting the shore and the repetitiousness of each wave coming in with different intensity makes it somehow satisfying.  The waves are so strong they are splashing over the sidewalk near the resort. That means the waves are high.  There are three or four coral reefs that a wave must navigate before it hits shore.

For supper we had  a hamburger with Mediterranean salad.

The sun is setting on another  Hawaiian day.

That's our day.
See ya.
