2016 A gold necklace

Day 5

Today started out like any other day, wind blowing, raining off and on. At least we don't have 50 mph wind like you will have tomorrow. Bend there done that.  We have rainbows. Had a little wind damage last night.

Breakfast

We got up late today and just sat around enjoying our coffee. Breakfast was great, yogurt and granola, Papaya. We got dressed and went down to go for a walk and then right in the lobby was Thursday. Oh you didn't know?

Today is craft fair day.  Yes that's right every Thursday its craft fair day. Clela can't pass up a craft fair.  You know it's like the state fair you can close you eyes and still visualize where everything is. Yup, you have the hat lady on the right and the hat guy on the left.  Oh, there is the photographer in the front lobby and the woodcarver as you leave.  Got that? Now you know my Thursday. After perusing the fair we went out to whale watch. It's hard to see whales when it's so choppy.  No luck. This is the first year we have trouble seeing whales.
Pool time
The weather has been rotten with high winds, rain and low temps we haven't had a chance to use the new pool. Today we made it finally.

It took a little Coaxing because the water was cold but we did it. The pool is not very deep only 4' in most places. You can go under a bridge and sit behind a water falls, just like the one in Kauai. Then at night the pool is lite up and colored spray of water.

 Sail boarding
After swimming we went down to the ocean to try again to see whales.  It was so windy we decided to go in the glass enclosed area and watch for whales. I had the binoculars focused on Molokai and saw 4 people wind sailing along the coast. Even with the binoculars they were 1/4" high.  The only reason I found them I saw by something shining Iike diamonds by eye sight.  After about a half hour they turned toward our island. They were racing fast. I and then in about ten minutes they were here. They were coming ashore right in front us us. That takes Unbelievable strength, balance and endurance to make that run. That is a long, long distance. The second one ashore was a young girl!  Girl power. I was so in shock, not that a girl did this but that they all made it. I forgot to take pictures.

Whalers Village
We desired to do some shopping at the Whaler and eat supper. There is a big remodeling going on there, stores are closing, there is construction going on everywhere.

We bought two more cups for our collection.
It's hard to tell but the cups are light blue. Our other ones are green.
Gold necklace
Next we went shopping for a gold necklace.  We went in and I found four necklaces to try on.  I tried one on. I bought it NOT.  The necklace had a price tag of only $1000. The other three ranged up to $5000 smakers.  It looked ridiculous on me. We had a good laugh and that was the end of my golden necklace.
The Hula Girl
A year ago we ate at this restaurant. How did I remember, Facebook is like big brother. We ordered drinks, lava flows.
Very good drinks but I think they forgot the liquor. I ordered a fish toco and Clela ordered Chineese chicken salad.

We ate in a hurry because we were cold. Food was better last year.  Well that was our day.
See ya.
