A Promising Day

Woke up this morning and the first thing I did was head out to the lanai to see if it was raining.  The ground was wet.  It was dark but I took a pic.

It is amazing that it looks so light.  I guess the camera lets in lots of light.  Here is some pics ten minutes later.

And here we are now.

Looking good now, but I still think there is a chance of rain.

The morning looking promising so we decided to eat on the lanai.  Clela made an Omelette .

Now that is a great breakfast. You got a cheese omelette, spam, toast with jam, OJ and our first cup of Peaberry Coffee.  That coffee is so good but I think the creamer is  over powering.  You know the first thing you notice is that it doesn't have that acidic taste to it.  Kind of a laid back morning. We watched a mother and a baby whale swim by, that is always fun to see.  We talked to Lorilee about Sherry and had a pest control dude come by and now we are getting dressed.  Just think if I was home I would have been showered, dressed, ate, watched the first half hour of the Today show and working in my shop for three hours by now.  What a difference.

Could you believe it, it's time for lunch.  

Okay you might say that looks like the same lunch you had yesterday.  Well your correct and it was a great sandwich.  Listen you are talking to a guy, who while working on the north side, would go to McDonald's and order the same thing everyday, A Big Mac, French Fries and a Chocolate Shake. That's right and I could still do it.

We were planning to go up to Fleming Beach.  We love to go there because of the high waves.  There have been times when we sat on the sand with a big umbrella eating lunch in the pouring rain.  We even saw a rescue by Ski-Doo way out in the ocean.  When the life guard reached shore he was holding a large Swan.  We left the condo and when we walked to the elevators it started to rain. So we will go another day.  We did start a game of Up the river down the river,  We will finish the game of cards later.

We did go for a walk and sat down by the ocean and called the Chris and Kathy.  

While talking to Chris we found out some good news for Alyssa's job hunt.  I'll let Alyssa tell you.  She has quite a story to tell.

Tonight for supper we had left overs, as we did for lunch.  I'll leave you with this picture.
