Our Favorite Beach
Today we celebrate our first week here. It's a cloudy day, warm and maybe a chance of rain.
We eat big breakfast out on the lanai.
There goes a guy paddling by on his long board.
You know it looks like the fog is rolling in.
This boat is staying close to the shore. Wouldn't to be caught out there with no navigation.
Can you believe this we are eating inside for lunch, that is a first for this year.
Oh a good thing happened to us this morning. We have been having trouble making an appointment for our second COVID vaccine. At home we have been on the phone for hours. Today we called and had our appointment in five minutes.
Can't beat a toasted cheese sandwich. Oh yes that is jelly on my sandwich. I don't know when I started that, but don't knock it. I love it.
After lunch and a rest, we had a knock at the door, it was a plumber who said they were going to turn off the water for two hours. They were working on the condo below. He said please don't flush the toilet because if you do it will all come down on him. So we had to stay. Do you know how hard it to use the toilet without flushing? So of course we had to go sometime in that two hours. I mean that is automatic right? We kept saying as we went Don't flush, don't flush over and over. We survived and so did he.
With no rain we went to our favorite beach, called Hanakao'o Beach. They are doing work on the road the leads down to a club house for canoeing and outriggers for one up to eight for racing. We parked on the other side of the parking lot and set up our chairs but it was just not the same.
So I walked over to see what was going on. I stopped by and talked to a life guard and he said maybe the project will be done in a few weeks. Here is what it looks like.
This is where we park our car. If you enlarge the view behind the tractor that is and old cemetery. Now you know why we still it cemetery beach.
For supper we ate inside and had mac and cheese.
Yes that is Spam with our Mac and Cheese. Hey when here you got to eat Spam. Clela saved some for later. Well that was our day See ya.
