Day 11 Valentines Day

Special Weather Alert has been issued for all windward sides of the islands.  This Wind Advisory is in effect until 6:00PM HST.  Source: U.S. National Weather Service.  Winds southwest 25-35MPH with gust up to 50MPH are expected.  Impacts:  This strong winds can bring down tree branches and make driving especially difficult for high profile vehicles.  Small children under twenty five pounds must be tethered to their mothers.  Islanders: Do not and I repeat do not stand under Coconut trees.  There is a tendency for coconuts to fall under high winds.Vacationers:  Take cover, I repeat take cover under the nearest coconut tree for you own safety.  Surf:  6 to 8 foot waves are expected.  Impacts: Strong breaking waves are expected making it difficult and dangerous to swim and snorkel.  Islanders: Are warned to stay way from the beaches.  Vacationers:  This is your chance to snorkel on the north shore and see the many and different fish.  Explore , have fun and don't worry about the high surf.  Try swimming in areas where the waters move away from the shore.  If you are going out tonight please dress appropriate and protect your self.
