2015 Day 13 Lucky Or Not

Day 13 Lucky Or Not

There is nothing like an early start to the day, you are fresh the day shows signs of promise.  Today Clela and I had our coffee on the Lanni.  Did you ever think about that first cup of coffee.  To us it seems like it is always the best.  Early walk was on our agenda. There is something special about getting up early and walking.  The air is fresh, it's like a new start.  We walked next door where people were taking an early exercise class on the grass with the beautiful ocean in front of them.  If they are lucky they might even see a whale breach.  Remember our vacations in Florida where people got up before the light of day.  They would race down with their towels to claim their lounge chairs around the pool.  You could go anytime duiring the day and they wouldn't be there.  Well guess what.

Look at this beautiful view of the island.  Oh yes, their are towels on the chairs.

Today we had a huge breakfast.  Once again Clela has out done herself.

French toast and Spam in am, coffee and O.J.  Then the second part we had the fruit with banana bread.  Can you believe that.  Well that is like two breakfast in one.

We got to do some cleaning around the condo today.  That means it is time for you know MR. Hoover, and I don't mean J. Edgar

He is just gleaming, he is excited, he wants to CLEAN!  If you have a small condo it doesn't take much time.  So clean we did.

We packed a lunch, our chairs and headed for the beach.  Clela likes this beach because we can find sea glass.

As we were eating lunch their was fire truck after fire truck heading north.  Then we would see ambulance after ambulance also heading north.  Our thoughts were a fire, a car crash with multiple injuries.  This was going on all afternoon.
Our life guards went to their jet skies.

The life guards also went north.  Okay what is going on.  We left the beach about 3:00 and went back to our condo.  Clela was watching the news and there it was.  A young couple 18 and 19 drowned at the blow hole.

The girl was standing near the sea wall and a large wave knocked her into the ocean.  Her boyfriend jumped in to save her and drowned also.  You see it is not being lucky or not it is common sence.  Never turn your back on the ocean. These kids were local.
It was a promising day.  It didn't have to end this way.  See ya!
