February 11th 2018 Road Trip To Fleming Park

Woke up this morning, went out to the lanai and the first thing I notice was how clear the island of  Molokai was.  Most mornings Molokai  has a haze that covers the island. 

Our breakfast was a light one, but still filling.

Notice we are again we are eating indoors.  Cool outside again kept us indoors. 

We needed to go the grocery store.  We went to Food Land because it has a good deli area.

Got to love your Spam.  Clela stopped to get a Sunday paper while I went out to groceries in the car.  As I was approaching the car this lady came up to me very excited.  She said "are you from La Crosse because we are." I said no but our granddaughter is a junior at La Crosse. Man this is a small world.
We had quite a load to carry up to our condo.  Now the question became do we eat at our condo or pack our food and head up to Fleming Park.

Fleming Park is a nice place to watch surfing. 

Believe it or not the waves weren't that big, still the park was full of people having a picnic, swimming, body surfing and boogie boarding.  Well the kids were out there with their boards and putting on a good show.  Some of them looked like they were ten to twelve years old.

We spent the after noon at the park.  We came back watched some Olympics and had a drink.  The drink is from Trader Vic's Pina Colada.  Okay I got carried away yesterday and we had enough for two more drinks.  So I put the glass body of the mixer in the freezer.  When we took it out we had to wait a while for it to thaw.  The results were it was like eating shaved ice.  Good drink.  You know since that there is not much alcohol in the drink.  That's okay with us.

We had Sloppy Joes for supper.
