February 23rd 2018 Artists On The Beach

Woke up to a dank dark day.  By the time we drank our coffee the clouds were gone with the look of a bright beautiful day.  We had a chance eat outside and we did with a warm wind blowing.

Now that was a breakfast.  Okay I"m loosing it that was lunch we ate outside.

This morning we went to our favorite beach Cemetery Beach.  On the beach ,you had artists on the beach either using acrylic paint or chalk.  The event is called Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational.  There are artists from all over the United States.

 This women is from Minnesota.

 Chalk.

 Chalk used.

Some of the artists used brushes and some used a spatula.  They all had two hours to paint different scenes around the beach.  Then there is some gala tonight.  Some of the painting will be sold tonight and tomorrow.  Anyway here are the artists at work.

Chalk being used.

While we were at the beach you could see two big C130 by the Air National Guard kept flying by.  For as big a plane they don't make much noise.  The planes are based in Oahu.
Here is Clela with her new hat.

The hat is hand painted.

We did some groceries and went back to our condo for lunch.

For desert we had a Chocolate Dipped Macaroons.  Oh so good.

Wow! Hey do you want a bit?  Move a little closer and open your mouth.  Oh come on give it a try.

Wow you took a big bite.  Hope you like it.  If you did shake your head.

We did go down for a swim and had hot dogs and beans for our supper.  Well that was our day.  See you tomorrow.
