February 12th 2018 Going To Lahaina

Woke up this morning to another day in paradise.  There was a whisper of wind blowing the palm trees.  The sun was not up over the mountains but gave a hint of promise of a warn day ahead.  Still a little cool to eat on the Lanai.  But that's okay.  We wanted to make the most of this day.  Here is our plan for the day.  First and for most is that great Maui coffee.  Just close your eyes and smell that fresh aroma from the very first breath of open container to the coffee brewing.  You know your going to get a great cup by the aroma.  Second is to eat breakfast, third we would do some whale watching, fourth take a swim and last go to Lahaina for lunch.

The fruit has been awesome this year.  The papaya wonderful.  It all starts with buying the right one.  Clela is a master at choosing the best.  With a spoon I start on the outside edge.  What can I say about Eggo's.  Mrs. Butter Worth makes anything taste great.

Next we put on our swimming suites and first headed down to the ocean to see if we could see some whales.  The morning finally didn't disappoint us.  There were breaches all over.  We meet a guy from Luck Wisconsin.  Having my Wisconsin gear on it attracts people.

About noon we headed to the small pool for a swim.  The water is cool at first but soon we became acclimated to the water.  Always fun to seeing the kids play.  Like watching two brothers playing catch.  Each one throwing the soft ball at each other as hard as they could.  Neither one complained.  Just let it fly.  How about watching the water spray a bead of water into the pool.  A young child, mostly boys, can play there a long time.  Maybe just like going to the bathroom.  Anyway we dried off and went up to our condo.  I was dressed waiting for Clela and playing a computer game when I fell to sleep. My elbow slipped off the table and I woke up.  Clela said I should rest before we leave.  Driving tired is not the best thing to do.

Okay maybe I shouldn't have shown Clela how to use my camera.  What she doesn't know there will be a time when I'll show her sleeping.

We are off to Lahaina for lunch.  Clela wanted to try a new place, but since most people at Bottoms Up were drinking their lunch.  So we decided to got upstairs to the Cool Cat Cafe.

We have been here before and know the food is good.  It is in the same building where we bought our beautiful bowls.  You know across the street form the huge Banyan Tree.  I ordered a pull pork sandwich called Porky The Pig and Clela had Chicken tenders.

We both knew we would need a take home box.  Our food was great.  Great food and a show in the park.  The park always attracts weird people.

We went in a couple stores and went back to our condo.  We ate our noon lunch for supper and that was our day.  See you tomorrow.
