Day - 18 - Going to Kihei

On our way to Kihei for a day at the Whale Day Festival.  We really didn't what to expect.  Our guide when we went to Lanai said they have a great festival. Clela had this event on her calendar.  Kihei is on the way to Wailea where we spent one day when we were left behind several years ago.  Just as soon as we made the turn into the city we hit stop and go traffic.  Once we got to the downtown area there was no parking.  So we drove through the downtown area and turned around and found a great spot (one hour parking) in a lot across the street.
What does it look like?

We are getting closer, any ideas? It was an fund raiser for the Pacific Whale Foundation.  Now it's time to eat so we walked around the food area and decided to split a wrap.

After eating we walked around and here is what we saw.

Clela finds something she likes but can't pull the trigger to buy it.  She will walk away and when we get home she wishes she would have bought it.  Well this time I said try it on and I'll take a picture and you decide.

What do you think?  Is that Clela, look, that her.  Well she did buy it, good choice.

I love ukuleles.

This guy buys these shark teeth for about .50 cents to a couple of bucks and sells then for $15 to $30.

Clela wants me to make her a cribbage board.  Everything on this table was made out of Koa wood. That's gold!  Last week some guys were arrested for taking some Koa wood.

The first time we came to the Big Island  and went to the Volcano National Park and this is what we saw.  We thought we could get this close every time, but that never happen again.

Lots of color here.  After three hours, a lot of heat and parked in a one hour spot, we walked back to our car (no ticket) and drove back to our condo.  Well that was our day.  See ya!!
